The Cape Cod RTA Administrative offices will be closed today, Tuesday March 18th to allow our employees to attend the services of our Administrator, Thomas Cahir.

The Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) announced Thomas S. Cahir, the CCRTA’s Administrator passed away unexpectedly today. Mr. Cahir has served as the CCRTA’s Administrator for the past 16 years overseeing the CCRTA’s transit operations for all 15 Cape Cod towns.
The CCRTA Advisory Board issued the following statement, “We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Tom Cahir. Tom’s dedication to public service and his contributions to transportation infrastructure have undoubtedly left a lasting impact on the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and Cape Cod. He completely transformed the CCRTA and public transportation on Cape Cod during his tenure. The CCRTA’s Advisory Board, employees and partners, as well as many others whose lives he touched, mourn his loss.”
