A smart card used to pay for fixed route fares.
Easy To Use
Upon boarding, just tap the card on the farebox, to automatically deduct the fare from the stored value. You can also easily manage your account and buy passes directly from the CCRTA GoApp. With cash, the driver can add value or passes to your GoCard.
How do I get a Cape Cod GoCard?
Cape Cod RTA GoCard are free. You can obtain a GO Card at the Hyannis Transportation Center or from your driver. You can add value to the GoCard through the CCRTA GoApp, at the Hyannis Transportation Center using cash or credit/debit card or with cash on the bus. If you would like to manage your card on the app, be sure to register it BEFORE buying a pass or loading value with the driver.
How do I get a senior or disable reduced fare GoCard?
A reduced fare GoCard is available upon eligibility for adults aged 60 and over and persons with disabilities. An application can be found here.
Can I add money to the Cape Cod GoCard somewhere other than the HTC?
Yes. The recommended way to manage your card is directly through the CCRTA GoApp. There, you can buy passes and load value using a linked debit or credit card. You can also get real time information on the passes and balance loaded on your card. You can add value to the Cape Cod Charlie card using the fare box with cash. Please be sure to tell the driver that you would like to load value or passes prior to placing the cash in the farebox.
Can I Use my Cape Cod GoCard on SmartDART?
Stored value loaded on your account is shared between SmartDART and our fixed route system. You can use your GoCard to redeem the free transfer from SmartDART to our fixed route system. SmartDART does not require any cards on board, but any stored value loaded on your account can be used for both fixed route and SmartDART fares. Passes are not valid on the SmartDART system.
Can I use my Cape Cod GoCard on the MBTA?
No. The new Cape Cod GoCard is used on the Cape Cod RTA bus system only. If you have a CharlieCard with value that you would like to convert to the new GoCard, please visit the Hyannis Transportation Center.
Can I add funds to someone else’s account?
Yes. The Hyannis Transportation Center can issue a Gift Certificate which can be used to load value on another persons’ account. Gift Certificates are loaded as stored value and are valid for both SmartDART and fixed route fares. Please contact the Hyannis Transportation Center for more information.
Lost, Stolen or Damaged GO Cards
Terms and Conditions for GO Cards are non-refundable. Fare media must be kept in good condition. CCRTA can issue a new GoCard to your account, but CCRTA is not responsible for unauthorized activity on your account. Once a card is replaced, the old card is no longer valid. Not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged cards.
Are GoCards Transferable?
No, they are not transferable to other persons.
